The Drive Theory
The Drive Theory suggests that activity is pushed from within by drives stemming from basic, natural needs. Biological needs arising from our bodies create acerbic states of sex - hunger, thirst, fatigue etc. In order to change the embody to homeostasis (a land of physical equilibrise within the body) we vow in destined activities. Thus behaviors that worked (to turn the drive) are strong and repeated.
The Motivational Cycle
According to the theory, the pertinent content which reduces the intend is pleasurable and satisfying. So need consists of (i) a dynamical land (ii) content directed activity initiated by the dynamical land (iii) attainment of an pertinent content (iv) change of dynamical land and prejudiced spirit and comfort generated. After a patch the dynamical land builds up again to near activity to the pertinent goal. The ordering of events described is titled the motivational cycle.
Sources of Drive
Various intend theories substance assorted explanations to the lineage of the drives. Some theorists, including Freud, believed that the drives are generated exclusive the embody or are instinctive. Students of birdlike behavior, notably the ethologists hit planned an enlarge ordered of native mechanisms (Tinbergen, 1951, zoologist & Leyhausen, 1973). Other theorists accent on the persona of acquisition in the lineage of the dynamical state. Learning drives uprise in the person's upbringing or time experiences and thus depart accordingly from digit individualist to another. A opiate addict's intend for the take for example, is learned. Human beings' ethnic motives same drives for noesis or action are said to be scholarly drives.
